Leo Devlin

(ur. 1983 Omagh/Irlandia) jest doktorantem na wydziale Sztuk Pięknych w Kingston University w Londynie, wykładowcą na Dartington College of Arts i kuratorem projektu RED APE w Plymouth. Ludzkie zachowanie, stosunki polityczne, w nawet najbardziej brutalnych przejawach, są regulowane racjonalnie, jak pisał Foucault. Przekonywał, że pomiędzy racjonalnością a przemocą nie ma niezgodności. Ciało artysty jest ekranem, na którym materializuje się doświadczenie przemocy, poniżenia, narastające napięcie zwiastujące katastrofę.


Leo Devlin was born in 1983 in Omagh/ N. Ireland. He lives and works in Belfast.

In 2007 he was joint winner of IMPACT 07, Bergheim, (Germany) Devlin received a first class B.A. honors from the Universuty of Ulster (2006), he was a Co-Director of Catalyst Arts gallery (2006-2008) and is currently a director of flaxart studos and the Gallery Officer of the Northern Irish arts & disability Fourm. His work has been supported by the arts council of Northern Ireland, the arts and disability fourm and Flaxart studios.
